Marjorie A. Sullivan, President
Marjorie is the founder and president of Maggie Sky Foundation, Inc.
Marjorie advocates breaking the cycle of domestic violence, a pattern of learned behavior that is passed from generation to generation. As a survivor of various forms of abuse, this mission is her passion. “Together with everyone’s help, we can make a difference.”
Throughout her professional career, Marjorie has been involved in entrepreneurial enterprises. Dedicated to encouraging women to be the best they can be, she has 20 years experience as a skin care consultant with Jafra Cosmetics, International. She has sponsored, trained and managed women to become accredited skin care consultants. For her first month as a new manager, she received the District Award as the number one New Manager of the Northeast Region, an award that included both her personal and team sales. She has continued to win numerous awards through her dedication and compassion to give women the opportunity to achieve success.
Before joining Jafra Cosmetics, Marjorie owned and operated DaMar Modeling Agency where she hired, trained, and managed women for fashion shows, promotional and print work.
Her other professional experience includes acting, and writing. She is a member of SAG-AFTRA.
Marjorie divides her time between New York City and Springfield, MA.
Nicole DeMarey, Vice President
Nicole DeMarey is a native of Western Massachusetts recently returning home after spending 15 years in Florida. She attended college at the University of Central Florida. Currently, Nicole is working towards her degree in Creative Writing. In addition she is a Army Combat Medic Veteran.
Nicole has volunteered her time and energy to other non profit organizations one of the organizations that she holds close to her heart is VetAways Foundation, Inc. which gives back to our Veterans. During her time with VetAways Foundation she held the position of Office Manager. Her responsibilities included recruiting other volunteers, organized fundraisers, coordinator of many functions of the foundation. Nicole brings creativity, passion, and enthusiasm to every project she works on. Given her strong leadership skills, and her outgoing personality she brings so much to the table. Maggie Sky Foundation, Inc is pleased to have her on board.
Michael J. Montera, Vice President of Finance
Michael (Mike), a finance professional, is a CFO of a global telecom company. Mike is a CPA and has an MBA, and has worked in the telecommunications industry for 12 years. Prior to that, he was in mergers and acquisitions for a software company in Northern Virginia. In addition to his demanding career and three children, Michael has supported Project Renewal, and time permitting, other organizations.
While he has never been affected directly by abuse, he is aware of too many examples and wants to lend a hand toward helping to break the cycle of violence. He has joined the board of the Maggie Sky Foundation, Inc. to share his professional expertise and his passion for making a difference. “I have been blessed in my life and I want to give back to society.”
Susan Lapointe, Advisory Board
Seasoned Graphic Design Entrepreneur, has dedicated more that twenty-five years to perfecting her creative talents. Susan is well-versed in all aspects of design including; logo/branding, print and social media, product graphics, and package design. She served as creative partner on teams at Spalding Sports Worldwide, responsible for planning and implementing domestic and international sales and marketing strategies. Susan developed expertise in theme, design, coordination and production of sales meetings, videos and exhibit design. In 2000, Susan founded TurningLeaf Design, dedicated to providing a full range of design services. Since that time she has successfully established a strong client list and continues her strong talents in design. Assisting all levels of businesses, from start up to fortune 100 / 500 companies across the United States. Currently, Susan is a Director and past President with the Greater Easthampton Chamber of Commerce, Advisory Council Member with the Hampshire County Regional Tourism Council and partner in support of the Easthampton Cultural District. She was also past board member and Chair at Riverside Industries, Inc. In 2003 Susan was awarded Business Woman of the Year for Western Massachusetts Woman Business Owners Alliance.
Kristen Pospolita, Advisory Board
Human Resources Professional, has dedicated eight years to improving the engagement and enjoyment of employees within the organizations she has been a part of. Currently, she serves as Human Resources Director at the Hampshire Regional YMCA in Northampton, MA. Throughout her childhood, Kristen experienced physical, sexual, emotional abuse and neglect, as well as, domestic violence. In 2011, she made the difficult, yet liberating, decision to break the silence of her childhood abuse through standing up for her younger siblings, and the community, through Volunteering and Advocacy. With the unwavering support of her husband and unconditional love of her father, Kristen has found her voice for children and remains vigilant and outspoken against violence and sexual abuse against our most vulnerable citizens.
