About Maggie Sky Foundation, Inc.

Maggie Sky Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation established in 2006. Our goal is to break the cycle of Domestic Violence by empowering people who have suffered any form of abuse and provide them with the tools for the betterment of their lives.

Victims of abuse generally have low self-esteem, no confidence in themselves and see no hope of leaving the situation. They become paralyzed due to the fear that overcomes them. Regardless of the type of abuse, the victim invariably feels guilt and shame. Therefore, the victim has a tendency to keep the abuse hidden and a secret. In most cases, if not all, this type of learned behavior is passed down from generation to generation.

Unfortunately it becomes a way of life. Hence, keeping the victim in a victim mentality. This is all they have ever known. It is imperative, and paramount, to break the cycle of Domestic Violence with awareness, counseling, and education.

Awareness

through fund raisers, marketing promotional items, mailing information sheets with warning signs with contact numbers and Public Service Announcements.

Counseling

for the victims and perpetrators who are seeking to make a change. Funds are allocated to victims without the means.

Education

with speaking engagements, lectures. Raise awareness and educate especially our youth through drama, music, and fact sheets with warning signs. This will enable our youth to make well-informed decisions to take positive control of their lives.
